- VegOut: With VegOut you can find a vegetarian, vegan or veg-friendly restaurant when traveling. You can even find restaurants using GPS.
- Vegan Xpress: With this app, you’ll get a listing of restaurants in the area that offer a vegan option.
- Veggie Passport: the iPhone equivalent of the “Vegan Passport,” a collection of translations for the veg*n traveler. For example, it will tell you how to say “I am a vegetarian” in multiple languages.
- Be Nice To Bunnies: PETA’s iphone app, a guide to ” cruelty-free” products. Companies and products that are vegan are also noted.
- iLocate: This is another vegan restaurant finder. You can view through a list or by a map.
- Food Additives: With this application, you can look up label ingredients to find out if they’re vegan or not. Also helpful: it lists the potential health risks of particular additives.
- Vegetarian SmartList: This app takes most of the guesswork out of label-reading. Of course, if you don’t have an iphone, just use this rule: If you have to look it up, put it down. Hard-to-pronounce words are rarely worth eating.
